Get to know these seven volcanic islands as a local sailing the Aeolian islands surrounded by the deep blue Mediterranean sea

The legendary atmosphere of the Aeolians dates back more than 5000 years when man first settled here. Enjoy their vibrant Sicilian atmosphere and local restaurants. Sail to the north of Lipari for a swim in the clear blue water of Pumice Stone bay with its white sandy beaches and drift very close to the Strombolicchio rock for an unforgettable swim and snorkeling adventure.

Yacht Highlights

This is a 60 feet sailing boat cruising the Mediterranean Sea. The Biligu, trireme 60′ steel schooner, consists of four cabins with berths for 8 guests. One cabin at the stern with one single and one double bed with en-suite bathroom, a starboard cabin with a bunk bed and a little en-suite bathroom, two cabins in the middle of the boat, with two berths each and a big bathroom in common. Central heating, hot water, two refrigerators, stereo. The crew accommodation is separated and has its own entrance. Saloon and fully-equipped kitchen. External has teak bridge, spacious decks with comfortable furniture and sun-bathing areas.

Day 1 -Boarding in Lipari Island

Welcome on board and accommodation. Lipari is the biggest of the Aeolian Islands where you’ll spend the evening enjoying the town with its vibrant Sicilian atmosphere and local restaurants.

Day 2 – Lipari and Panarea

After breakfast and a new briefing for Cambusa, sail to the north of Lipari for a swim in the clear blue water of Pumice Stone bay with its white sandy beaches. After lunch on board, nice sailing to Panarea Island. Panarea is a scenographic island; one of the most enchanting of the Archipelago. Also known as the “fashion island” of the Aeolian Island chain.

Day 3 -Panarea

After breakfast we sail to the tiny islands and rocks of Basiluzzo and Lisca Bianca where we swim and relax in unique spots and lunch. Then sailing to Stromboli island in the evening to admire its volcanic eruptions (sciara) and the very tiny village. Overnight in front of the village.

Day 4 – Stromboli

In the morning, visit the village and shops, then we drift very close to the Strombolicchio rock for an unforgettable swim and snorkel. Sailing on the other side of the island to land by tender on the incredible black sand beaches. In the afternoon sailing to Salina Island. Overnight in Salina.

Day 5 – Salina

After breakfast with a genuine lemon granita and brioche, we are free to visit the island and the inside natural reserves or sailing along the coast. Visiting caves, natural arcs and the local village of Lingua. Sailing to Filicudi, dinner at an exquisite restaurant on the sea, and overnight in Filicudi close to Pecorini village.

Day 6 – Filicudi

Filicudi is also called the island of the artist for being an inspiring location to world famous artists. After tasting the best Cannoli in town, swim at La Canna rock, a 70 mt. high stone in the sea. In the afternoon sailing to Vulcano Island, passing in the amazing channel between Lipari island and Vulcano island. Sailing back to Milazzo arriving at sunset.

Day 7 – Vulcano and Lipari

We will spend this last day in Vulcano, one of the most fascinating islands of the archipelago, because of its smoking crater and atmospheres. One of the spot not to be missed is the natural pool with spa mud closed to the beach where you will be surprised by the temperature of the sea water, in places bubbling! Evening in Lipari, the morning after breakfast disembark before 10 am.
Arrival
How to get to Lipari
You need to fly to Catania airport (CTA) and then drive to Milazzo (1h 45m).
From there a fast ferry leaves all day long from Milazzo town to Lipari Island. Cost is EUR 22 and the ferry takes 45minutes to get to the island.
Pick-up services can be arrange from Airport Catania to the Ferry Milazzo for an additional € 150,00 from 1 to 3 persons and € 190,00 from 4 to 8 persons.
