Exploring St. Vincent & The Grenadines, including the world famous Tobago Cays. Sailors can all get on board to enjoy a destination that truly embodies every travel brochure cliché in the book: breath-taking, idyllic, perfect, pristine – you can find it all, literally, here, living up to every word and expectation. “Gateway to the Grenadines”, St. Vincent is the perfect “jump off” point for any yacht charter when you want to experience the true Caribbean. You will see the way it once was, before any tourism at all, as well as the latest and most luxurious locations. Of the 32 island chain, only 9 (including the better known Mustique, Bequia and Union) are inhabited. This leaves plenty of opportunity for you to cruise at leisure and play desert island explorer or castaway on your own stretch of endless sand, surrounded by tropical greenery and the inviting waters of the warm Caribbean Sea.
The base is located at Blue Lagoon Marina, a quick 10-minute drive from the airport. The marina is a perfect location to begin your cruise. A warm welcome awaits you, and you’ll have access a full-service marina, restaurant, beach bar, café, dive shop, market, gym and swimming pool – not to mention the gorgeous surrounding scenery. A safe haven overlooking majestic Blue Lagoon Bay, our base the perfect place to start discovering St. Vincent & the Grenadines.
Following your morning boat briefing, sail off to beautiful Bequia. Enjoy your cruise into Admiralty Bay: the heart of it all. The Belmont Walkway runs from Port Elizabeth right along the southern side of the bay. Slide on a pair of flip flops and explore the gift shops, restaurants, cafes, and bars. There’s also a great dive shop right at the water’s edge. Just beyond the Belmont walkway is the totally unspoiled, crystal clear waters at Princess Margaret Beach.
Today you can look forward to one of the most magical destinations on the planet, the stunning Tobago Cays: an intimate cluster of five uninhabited cays. These heavenly lagoons are full of green sea turtles, coral reefs, colorful tropical fish & crystal turquoise waters. An idyllic yachting experience, a dream for scuba divers & snorkelers, a paradise for beachcombers, and even a film location, the Tobago Cays are one of the world’s most awe-inspiring destinations. End the day with a delicious freshly grilled lobster dinner right on the beach.
Following a leisurely breakfast, sail to Union Island. It’s an easy cruise, and well worth the trip. The island has long been a favorite spot for sailboats cruising the Caribbean, and is now a top spot for kitesurfing! The local restaurants, bars, and nightclubs offer something for everyone.
Love beaches? Mayreau is the place to be. In the North of Mayreau is Salt Whistle Bay, a perfect half moon beach separating the Atlantic Ocean from the Caribbean, with beautiful white sand, fringed by mature palm trees. Stroll around the calm, quiet village, or if you are feeling energetic, you can climb a volcano, snorkel, or dive the reefs. After a full day, kick back with a cocktail from the local beach bar.
Mustique is unquestionably one of the most exclusive islands in the Caribbean – a picturesque and secluded 1,400 acre island surrounded by nine pristine beaches of pure white sand, with gently swaying coconut palm trees and warm turquoise waters. Spend time scuba diving & snorkeling, golfing, tennis, horseback riding, and so much more. There’s even a five-star spa! Enjoy fine or casual dining and keep your eyes open for a few celebrities who are often spotted around the island.
Returning to the Blue Lagoon Marina after one week sailing and relaxing to spend the final night in the Marina.
Closest airport is Pointe-à-Pitre International Airport (IATA: PTP, ICAO: TFFR)
You will need to take a short cab ride to the marina
