Start your sailing holidays in Dubrovnik, the most southerly city in Croatia. Dubrovnik resembles a medieval city with a beautiful Old Town, which is now considered a UNESCO World heritage site. Start your sailing holidays ashore in Dubrovnik by walking down the cobblestone streets alongside old city walls. Gundulic Square has a vibrant nightlife with cafes but in the morning, enjoy the farmer’s market. About 6 km away from the Old Town, the yacht charter marina is located at Komolac. If you want to extend your holiday time ashore, most hotels are in the Lapad area near the sandy beaches.
UvalaKobaš is a small cove in StonskiKanal. Hidden inside is a small village and a jetty. Many small piers line the cove at which it’s possible to berth up to 18m in depth. The cove itself is well protected from all winds except the north wind.
Spend the day exploring the Mljet National Park or go on a sightseeing tour and explore the wonders that the island has to offer. While exploring one of the most densely wooded Adriatic islands, you’ll be able to enjoy a relaxing boat ride to the small Isle of St. Mary and discover the Benedictine monastery.
The towers and remaining city walls look particularly striking when approached from the sea but the town is filled with history. If history is where your interests lie, Polače features a number of buildings and historical remains dating back to the 1st through 6th centuries. Come explore the history and walk down the old walls learning more about the architecture and the island’s history.
