We start our Sailing Holidays Greece in Aegina. Located near Athens, Aegina is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Greece. Aside from breathtaking views and golden sunsets, the island will not disappoint those who are interested in history and Greek mythology. Put on your comfy shoes and begin your sailing holiday in Greece exploring the ancient villages and beautiful beaches.
Simply stunning, Hydra is an unmatched gem of the Saronic Gulf. Sumptuous stone mansions, narrow sun-kissed paths, crystal clear water and the ban on cars are the reason why Hydra is such a unique destination. Yes, you heard us right! There are no cars or motorbikes in Hydra, only a few hundred donkeys as means of public transportation.
For the ultimate sailing holidays Greece experience, we’ll stop next in Leonidio. Nested between the emerald sea and the valley of Mount Parnon, on the east coast of Peloponnese, this town is truly fascinating. Wherever you look, there are pebble beaches surrounded by lavish wild landscape. In the harbor you will find several fish taverns and friendly local bars where you can enjoy a cold beer.
Set sails! Our sailing holidays in Greece continue with a stop in one of the most romantic cities in Peloponessos. Spend the day cruising, swimming and walking down the streets packed with history. Admire ancient walls, medieval castles, neoclassical buildings and beautiful Venetian fountains.
In the morning we take a local Thai “long tail boat” around the corner to Ao Nang, where the optional excursion package begins with an elephant trek, followed by a high quality Thai massage. Lunch greets us as we arrive back to our yacht, then we cruise to Koh Hong Krabi – an island famous for its large internal lagoon. We spend a relaxing evening here which gives us ample time to swim, enjoy the beach and explore the cave and lagoon.
After breakfast we move the yacht to the secluded Ao Thalin where the optional excursion package continues – kayaking through mangrove forests, past spectacular limestone cliffs and canyons, and even have the chance of encountering monkeys. After lunch, we head to Koh Phak Bia for another beach and the final snorkeling chance of the trip. For the evening we anchor the yacht in the deep canyon of Koh Chong Lat for a scenic and peaceful evening.
We start the day by sailing to Koh Yang where we anchor amongst the picturesque limestone karsts of Phang Nga Bay. The next part of the optional excursion package is being picked up by a local Thai “long tail boat” and taking a tour to the famous James Bond Island, and to the Sea Gypsy village where you have the opportunity to buy local handicrafts. After we head south to Koh Nakka Noi for the final part of the optional excursion package – a BBQ and sunset on a quiet beach.
In the morning we eat breakfast on route as we cruise back to the marina for disembarkation at 9am
